Dewey In The News
Photos, Puzzles, and Posters of Dewey / New Books and Movie Update August 3, 2009

I’m very happy to announce that photos, puzzles, and posters of Dewey are now available. We are working through a company called Phuzzles.com that worked with me on Dewey items many years before his death. The puzzles and photos are all like the one on the cover of the book except that these will have the original background of the famous photo taken when he posed so cute at the photographer studio. You can click on the “Dewey Stuff” button to order.

In the meantime, Bret & I have finished 3 childrens books and are working on a proposal for another adult book down the road. The movie script is still being edited but I have not seen it yet. There is a lot of legal stuff to wade through with everything.

The first kids picture book is called “Dewey..There’s A Cat In The Library!” It will go on sale nationally in September and I will do my first signings here in Spencer at the Clay County Fair, Sept. 12th – 15th . The fair lasts nine days but I can only be here for the first four due to a speech I’m giving in Portland Maine on Sept 19th for Literacy Volunteers. The book will be featured by Toys R Us, the Childrens Book of the Month Club, Scholastic, Target, and available though all the normal bookstores and websites.

I will be touring with this book but on a smaller scale than with the first one. I can’t keep up the pace and the publishers are feeling the bad economy too.

“ DEWEY is charming, lovely, and moving. It’s about life and death and small-town values and, above all, love.”
